Rev. Dr. Blair Thompson
Rev. Dr. Blair Thompson is Chief Learning and Innovation Officer at Wesleyan Impact Partners and Texas Methodist Foundation, where she leads the organizations’ work to form leaders, ignite imagination across the church, and generate and share learning for a changing landscape.
Blair and the Learning & Innovation team design cohorts, gatherings, learning experiences, and storytelling that help leaders wrestle with consequential questions facing the church, deepen their sense of purpose, learn from one another, and discover new possibilities for their contexts. She oversees a portfolio of initiatives and partnerships spanning leadership formation, congregational innovation, spiritual entrepreneurship, and the future of the church.
Blair is the creator and producer of the Igniting Imagination® podcast and a frequent speaker, preacher, writer, and facilitator. An ordained Elder in the Horizon Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church, she joined TMF in 2020 after more than a decade in pastoral ministry in Kansas and North Texas.
Blair holds a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, where her doctoral research explored pilgrimage as a formative practice for clergy leadership.
