Rev. Mary Kohlstaedt Huycke lives in Yakima, Washington. She is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church currently serving as the executive director of “Courageous Space Coaching & Consulting,” where she has worked for the past 18 years as a leadership coach helping clergy, congregations and judicatory bodies navigate change and transition. Certified as a professional co-active coach in 2003 and with advanced certificates in organizational and systems coaching and pastoral supervision, Huycke works across denominational lines at the intersection of leadership development, organizational development, and spiritual direction. Huycke has served previously as a District Superintendent and pastored in settings ranging from a new church start to redevelopment. She is the co-author of three Alban Institute books: Pathway to Renewal; Practicing Right Relationship; Redeveloping the Congregation; and a contributor to the volume When a Congregation is Betrayed. Huycke’s term of office as an elected director of The Fund will expire in 2023.
